I work nights at the urgent care, and it’s tough. It’s a lifestyle choice for me, so that I have a bit more daylight to do my creative work.
I made a short video about the ill-effects of working nights, and a few strategies to overcome them. I made it in the morning after a shift, while still in bed in the doctor’s lounge… so don’t judge my hair!
One of the reasons I can do it is that I stay relaxed through the night, especially if I get woken up. I don’t get angry, or that nervous feeling in your stomach when you get woken up. It’s basically using all the strategies from my Be Happy program, like breathing, acceptance, letting go, etc.
